The Spirit of Living: Empowering Your Perspective With Creativity.
Marianne Williamson challenges us to ask the question: Who are we not to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and famous? When we empower our perspective, we commit to the values and beliefs that support a life where we are powerful beyond measure, and as we let our own light shine, we honour that ability in others.
Join Sandra and Taylore as they weave together the threads of many teachings, honouring the innate ability we each have to manifest a magnificent life. Activities that integrate the left and right hemispheres of our brain will be utilized to illuminate that learning is not all in our head. Advances in science are proving the importance of whole body/mind integration for learning; thought, creativity and intelligence are not processes of the brain alone, but of the whole body.
As such, the first day will have Taylore sharing her knowledge of Brain Gym - a wonderful program which enhances learning and performance. There are 26 easy and enjoyable targeted activities that integrate body and mind to bring about rapid and often dramatic improvements in:
- Concentration
- Memory
- Reading
- Writing
- Organizing
- Listening
- Physical coordination
- and more
Today the innovative Brain Gym and the field known as Education Kinesiology (Edu-K), learning through movement supports people of all abilities in making wide-ranging changes in their lives.
Sandra will then offer an extension to Taylores teachings though the medium of the expressive arts. These creative activities facilitate the integration of the left and right hemispheres of our brains, expanding our perspectives by connecting the body/mind and accessing the imagery and lessons inherent within. We will be doing hands-on creativity - painting, visual journalling, collageing with words and images... drawing out, speaking out, moving out and writing out. All will be taught in an environment that embraces the individuality of each learner.
Please note that no art experience is required - a promise!
